PEC has been asked by several clients in the last few months to include an ethnic entertainment component into their social events, through showcasing the cultural history of Milwaukee and its rich heritage. While Milwaukee is commonly known for its brewing traditions, this is due to the long ethnic history of the area. German, Polish, Irish and French immigrants moved into the area in the mid 1800s and began to buy land for their families. There is also a strong Hispanic, African, Italian and Native American contingency that make up Milwaukee’s cultural landscape. Today, Milwaukee’s ethnic heritage carries on in many of our restaurants, neighborhoods, schools, churches and of course our many festivals.

PEC Plans: Catholic Financial Life Convention

Many Parts, One Body. This was the theme of the 2012 Convention for Catholic Financial Life which was held in downtown Milwaukee September 28-30th. Catholic Financial Life is the second largest Catholic not-for-profit financial services organization in the United States and PEC was fortunate to have been asked to play a small role in this successful convention.

These planners, from national and international associations and fraternal organizations are currently considering Milwaukee as the destination for a future city-wide convention. They have responded with an interest in bringing their convention business to Milwaukee and are coming to experience the city for themselves.
