HOBGI – Project Description
The Honorable Order of the Blue Goose International (HOBGI) is a fraternal organization of individuals who work in the insurance related industry. Each year, HOBGI holds an annual convention in a different city, hosted by a local “pond” which competed for the privilege. Each year, PEC assists in planning the annual convention, which is a family affair. Alternate activities are planned for members, spouses, and children. PEC’s hotel site selection experts become an extension of the volunteer staff in each city throughout the United States and Canada.
Our hotel site selection professionals assess the hotel requirements and conduct a thorough search of the best hotels for the convention. Once HOBGI receives a detailed viability report with recommendations, the pond is able to compare apples to apples to narrow down their selection. PEC then negotiates the final details and contract clauses. PEC negotiates contracts on behalf of HOBGI that allows for a revision in the sleeping room block and the food and beverage minimum, which has saved HOBGI from thousands of dollars in paying attrition fees associated with unrealized sleep room pick up.
PEC also provides a variety of meeting management services to HOBGI from on-line registration to off-site tours, meeting production, décor design, entertainment, and menu planning. PEC’s planning experts provide HOBGI the creativity and leadership needed to produce successful conventions that have come in under budget year after year since 2006.
